My 1.11 build

This will be my new build when 1.11 comes out. The reason why I wanted a new build instead of Amun's elemental build (the build I'm using now) is because I wanted to steer more toward a gankage/ownage/3minutemagepwnyourface build. I pretty much do alot of pvp with my mage now and random ganking whenever it comes around and I feel I don't get enough power with Amun's build. Of course, instant Arcane Explosion will be really nice with a 1.11 elementalist spec, but I want to pwn so much alliance face I can taste it... so that's why I went all the way to arcane power and pyro with imp scorch (b/c I

ap pyro pom pyro will indeed be a ridiculous combo, only added to by your faster and stronger scorches and fire blasts

unfortunately all of my gear is already directed towards frost raiding (low crit chance, high +hit, +frost dmg items)

I approve, but I would change your arcane tree to look as such:

magic attunement will be great next patch, ie: with amplify magic rajaxx's healing aura will do +450hp to you

My mage doesn't have AP but Poly Fireball PoM Pyroblast blastwave fireblast usually takes care of anybody. My mage has a LOT of +fire damage/magical spells and effects gear though so it might not be as effective as a lesser geared mage. I've tried frost on the test realm but my hits/crits are pathetic compared to my fire spec, but one thing I do like is the mana efficiency which is very helpful on long boss fights. Now that evocation is reduced to 8 minutes and doesn't require a talent, coupled with the mana efficiency of frost spells + mage armor, you're not going to run out of mana unless you have a small mana pool.

i haven't fully decided on a build yet. I'd love to go back to fire, but i still do mostly PvE, so i'd need frost.

So.... i might do frost to ice block (i've haven't had ice block yet) and throw the rest in fire.

I'm still playing with the tree to see what i can get and the trade offs.

I like my arcane power, but i'm not sure if i want to put points in arcane to get it.

I'll probably end up respecing a bunch of times until i can find something i like.
