Well, not surprisingly, Blizzard has once again decided to plant the nerf stick squarely between the eyes of us mages. Water elemental is no longer a permanent pet, but a 1 minute summon (insta cast, but still takes a reagent). In other news, spec frost! Waste 41 talent points!

Of course, the one new and innovative spec that could have added a new dimension to mage playstyles (in addition to being fun and cool) has been wiped out by the devs in one, fell swoop.
