Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I should do with my warrior, in terms of DPS vs. Tanking. I'm a melee dpser at heart, I love it, but there's also a part of me that enjoys tanking. I like the feeling of accomplishment after I have tanked some wtfever elite but I just don't know if I like tanking enough. Simply put, I'm lost. Basically--I'm looking for some direction and I can't find it within myself. Any recommendations?

Edit: I'm also not opposed to doing both; as it is I'm specced 31/5/15.

you can tank as any spec. if you want to PvE dps then fury is the spec you want. you can tank anythying fine as fury. prot just makes aggro generation and mitigation better. non raid instances can be tanked easily with fury. but noob puggers always pull aggro so defiance is the only thing that helps there. the rest is gear.

of course when people take a warrior to an instance it's 90% of the time for tanking. maybe in UBRS you can be DPS while the other warrior tanks if there even is another warrior. same goes for ZG.

personally, i like tanking more than DPS. i also like PvP a little bit more than i like tanking. 31/5/15 is a very solid PvP/tanking spec. but if you want "DPS" then just stick with fury. you'll tank just fine. all you need is gear.

well... fury is THE dps spec. just collect 10% hit and some ~50 DPS weapons and you're laughing.

But yeah, I've never been fury and I know it's THE DPS spec. I just don't know exactly what I want to do. I've also been considering leveling my priest, but man, it's going to suck.

well then i guess you're just bored with the game. i got to that point 1 time and i rolled shaman and stuff. having alts helps. but i always come back to my warriors. i find warrior to be my funnest class. i have a 60 hunter and shaman too and a soon to be 60 gnome warrior.
