Combat dagger rogues
how many of you have the core forged leather gloves (or whatever it's called) with the crit and +5 daggers? cus that's insanely good on bosses... i recall sharding it last week and yet we have what? 3-4 guys with perdition?

IT is fucking retarded how some rogues do there loot (coughultimacough)... I was soooo god damn angry when Ultima passed on the Gutgore Ripper when he was using a thunderwood poke and Lobotmizer. Jesus. Some are hording up dkp cause they dont have the patience to wait for Perp blade... So they will pass on stuff just so they have that top edge, which is totally shit. I remember a while back some people giving Omnius shit for pass on Arcanist gloves because it would of helped the raid... These rogues are doing that now and just trying to help themselves. Tbh, I roll on everything will help me and I pass on stuff that I could roll for if it was going to someone who needed it (robes of volitale power to rug rug).
I think its time to stop being greedy and actually try to get better gear that will help the raid and stop worrying about some weopan that you will eventually get but no need to worry atm.

no it's a question as to wether or not rogues (and people in general) know the effects of +weapon skill in raids. mainly on +2 or +3 elites and bosses. rogues in Naxx still use those gloves on bosses while switching out to other gloves for trash that are 61 or even 62 elite.
those gloves are excellent raiding gloves due to the effects of glancing blows being reduced by having increased weapon skill.
on a 63 elite mob (bosses too) you have a 40% chance for your white damage to be glancing blows. if you have 300 weapon skill the penalty is something in the order of -30% damage. for every point of weapon skill over 300 you have, that damage penalty goes down. so if you get 310 weapon skill it becomes -0%. so your white damage does full damage. glancing blows cannot crit so you are basically gimping yourself by not taking these gloves.

Those gloves are awesome when fighting bosses things like destroyers. You really want +10 when fighting that stuff because your AP and especially your crit% is useless when you glancing.
Here's more interesting information. The Distracting Dagger works out to be close in damage to offhanding a Core Hound Tooth against a boss/63 mob. Actually, the Distracting Dagger produces more overall DPS (than the CHT) if the target isn't immune to instant poison. Of course, offhanding a CHT + ACLG is the best DPS by far. If your offhand isn't all that great to begin with, getting a distracting dagger would be good until you have that set.

+weapon skill is actually a big deal in PvE raiding against mobs over 60. So anyone trying to whore up the damage meter should definitely look into loot like this. I've seen several people talk about using Edgemaster Handguards(http://www.thotbott.com/?i=12420),which is normally ridiculed as an epic, on a dps warrior new to raiding soley for the weaponskill.
Suo, you need to tone down your language a bit. Whether or not you make a valid point about raid loot, there is no need for abusive posts and we'll show little patience with such behavior.
As far as hoarding DKP... we are loathe to ever force loot on anyone (its like forcing people to play a certain spec). However, if a player passes on an obvious upgrade to their raid capability (e.g. a warrior tanking gear, a rogue dps, a shaman- rolling a pally) to hoard dkp for some other potential drop, it will be noted and can affect future raid slotting, their spot in line for crafted goods, etc... You're not forced to play a certain way but the people more focused on the group success will be rewarded by the group first.

those gloves are good for bosses and 63+ from its extra skill ppl in BWL - naxx with use since off the boss and mob lvls i think rogues should consider having a pair of these and the reason i passed on gutgore is i really dont want it for a very minor upgrade of more dmg no stats i didn't pass on it cause i wanted perd its because its 1.8 attack speed and that effect. if i wrong sue me for waking up at 3am to raid with the guild because i enjoy not cause i want items there really just a bounes. reason for wanting perd blade when it drops? cause i want to shove it up supa's ass which i love doing. and he loves doing the same thus y we get along somhow, in short i didn't want it that badly (in tired me opion haven't seen it again since it droped) and if i didn't love raiding i wouldn't get up i dont get up for teh items normaly just to talk with the guild
(wrote this when i just got up may not make sence and there may be spelling errors)
